State Transport Commissioner Mr. Nagaraju Chakkilam I.P.S stated that it is necessary for youth organizations and social movements to come forward to cultivate a culture of road safety. He was speaking while flagging off a women's two-wheeler rally organized for road safety awareness under the auspices of the YMCA's Women Empowerment and Public Relations & Media Departments and Kerala's first women's riding club, Dauntless Royal Explorers.
The rally, which started from Kowdiar at 7:00 AM, passed through various parts of the city and concluded at the YMCA. As part of the program, college students performed a flash mob in front of the Secretariat and distributed traffic awareness pamphlets.
The closing ceremony was presided over by YMCA Vice President Bency V. Thomas.
Mr. Vijesh V., an official from the Motor Vehicles Department, conducted a road safety awareness class. The rally coordinator, Philip Chandy, led the traffic awareness pledge.

Board Member and former Vice President Dr. Arthur Jacob, Sreekumaran Thampi, YMCA Secretary Bitty Varghese, and Samuel Manoj led the event.
